What Democracy is.....

Democracy is a form of government. A form in which the supreme power is held completely by the people under a free electoral system.

How this "Democracy" is put in place is the "method" of government in acted by the people.

The key is "methods". Most Americans believe Democracy is the saving grace to our existence, free will, and success. No, its the methods employed by our founding fathers that kick started this country on its way the only global super power at the beginning of the 21st century.

American Democracy 2008. The Method in place now is allot different than the methods enacted by our founding fathers. Methods that have taken control from the government which is suppose to be a direct representation of the people and placed this control in the hand of lobbyists and larger corporations. Large companies are driving the government and they have convinced Americans that a smaller government is needed to better America. The fact is a smaller government takes power from the people and places it into the hands of the rich who are mainly corporate America.

A corporate government repels acts setup to protect the average American when the interest is in bettering the corporate wealth. For example the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933 prohibits commercial banks from engaging in the investment business. Put in place after the Great Depression to make sure this event never occurs again. Well guess what Corporate government did in 1999? I hope you guessed right. The wealthy who did not have enough money from the stock market rally of 1999, greedily wanted even more. The big banks wanted in on the gold rush and to hell with history, to hell with the average American. Corporate America knows whats better. The government overturned the law. This is just one example of many I look forward to share as we discuss what America must do ..... to exist in 2100.
